When you rise you come alive in me –
no longer the dreamer, but the dream.
From despair, I reach up into the air
to find the mystery buried, unaware,
uninformed of the search –
evermore out of reach
of the truths that lay in wait
beyond the visible.
As you rise from your ashes,
as you take flight into the sunlight,
may you always soar above the sky,
may you rise above the known,
may you always curiously roam
beyond mortal reach;
yet lingering in the child’s search –
innocent eyes that can only see
the magic and mystery
that lies within the rise
of the fantasy that is you.
