I’ve been here so many times before
this place where mercy apply to me no more
where pain draws out all life within
a defense I am unable to begin
the frown my forehead hurts in it’s usual path
of the pain that eats me with vigorous wrath
closed, my eyes yearn to peacefully be
to escape this merciless onslaught now upon me
acid tears my insides with angry annihilation
an unrelenting, continuous assailant
sourcing as ever irreparable devastation
distorting my facial expression
quitting, my true confession
resigning to this evil tirade
is truly weakening my defenses to a fade
oh God, hear my plea, my quest, my prayer
please show me Your mercy for this pain
from me
