Once, there was a Man,
pure of heart, a true Man,
brave and filled with love,
a promise to His Father,
to die on a cross, humiliated
and filled with devastating pain.
Wet, with blood perspired
from fear of what awaits,
Yet, He walked, proud
and willingly to His death,
for you, for me, for us all.
As darkness came to fetch His soul,
He whispered, full of forgiveness,
do not judge them, as they know
not what they do.
Jesus, our saviour, brilliance in death,
in our lives, inside our hearts,
brilliance in life, our lives!
