Just go with it is an American film, or, as it is also called, a Hollywood film. The film stars, amongst others, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.
I have to say that I found this film very enjoyable to watch. Adam Sandler is a very funny man and there is lots of laughs in this one – too many funny things to mention.
Just go with it is a simple story. It is about a man, a plastic surgeon, who falls in love with a woman. For the purpose of this discussion, we will call this man Sandler. Sandler is not married but he always carry his old wedding ring with him at all times for a specific reason which I don’t want to give away for those who wants to go and see this film. Then, of course, tragedy - the woman discovers the ring. Sandler then tries to convince his new girlfriend who does not want to see him anymore that he is in the process of divorcing his wife. She then demands to meet Sandler’s soon to be ex-wife. Sandler then convinces one of his employees, played by Aniston, to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife for one night. But it all goes wrong, of course.
The result is that Sandler spins himself deeper into a web of lies and he cannot seem to get out of it. And every lie seems to lead to more lies. All this causes him all sorts of trouble and causes a great number laughs for the viewer.
As with most films, Just go with it is all make believe. But the film does not pretend to be anything that it is not. It is a typical feel good film, but it is executed in a wonderful manner. On top of that one can say that this film is relatively family friendly. Although the film has its moments where things get a bit dirty, the film is in general good taste and will not upset sensitive people too much. Age restrictions are always there for a reason though and should be taken into consideration.
Just go with it is a wonderful film. It is not earth moving. It is not the best thing this year. But if you want to see a fun film, then you should go and see this one. It is worth taking the time, if only for the purpose of relaxation. 7/10
