Well, it seems that the lovely Cameron Diaz is at it again, doing what she does best – making action comedy. I can remember the first time I saw het starring in a film, it was way back. Film’s name was the Mask. She was starring opposite Jim Carey, and she was lovely. Still is.
But I have to admit, The Green Hornet was not my cup of tea. I suppose a film like this could be fascinating to many people. As I was watching it, I couldn’t help but think that I am not part of the culture that created this, and that’s why it doesn’t really appeal to me.
What is it about? It is about two men who fight crime, so there is lots of action in the film. They are, however, superhero’s with a difference, a matter on witch I am not going to elaborate here, and of course, in the end, the good guys win. However, a lot of the scenes are so cooked that it was hard to swallow for me. It is, like so many other films, really not realistic and because of the film to me was a disappointment.
I realy should have watched something else, but I was in the mood for a film and did not want to wait 30 minutes for a different title.
I suppose I am not the best person to rate this film. I suppose there will be many people who will love it. But in my mind there are so many action films out there that are better than this one. Sadly, because of my own bias, I have to give a poor mark and definitely not recommend this one. 4/10
