It is a pitty that the Bok is so much associated with white supremicy and apartheid, because the Springbok belangs to ALL the peoples of South Africa. In fact, in the 20th Century, black and white South African soldiers fougth the Germans together under the Springbok. I think all the sports codes in South Africa should be united under the Springbok emblem, so that not just the rugby side must be known as the Bokke, but the cricket, soccer, as well individual sport stars like swimmers and athletes.
