Well, well, well, it’s time for the ICC Cricket World Cup again, and the boys will be at it from all over the world to try and determine who is the best of the best.
South Africa made a good start, beating the West Indies in their opening match. One has to feel for the Windies though, losing one of their key players during the match must have been difficult for all their players. However South Africa bowled well and deserved the victory, and AB de Villiers made us proud with his wonderful performance.
While the days are gone when South Africa had a good number of great all-rounders, in men like Shaun Pollock, Lance Klusener and the like, the team consists of a good number of specialists in the field. It is a pity that the South African team bears the name of ‘chokers’, having been very unfortunate in the past at the ICC World Cup.
Well, I wish all the best for the boys in India, I’m sure they will make us proud, even if they lose. But hopefully, the Proteas will be on the winning side all the way in this world cup. They are a talented side and they can certainly beat any other side in the world. Go boys!
