Nothing is perfect...
Fairytales are just that...a mere story from someone with an over-active imagination and a sense of surrealism that he wants to force on everyone and make them believe that there might be a reason for happiness somewhere out there...somewhere other than where she is...where she ever will be...out of her reach...not part of her reality...
She writes about it...dream it...at certain points even wish it...just to realize time after time that it's not hers to have...
You may compare it with a child staring at shelves full of the sweetest desires...knowing that he's not allowed to touch, to feel, and knowing that he can't afford to taste...but wanting it so desperately at the same time...
Difference is, the child might still reach out his hand and in a moment of temporary insanity, slip one of the delicatessens in his brown jacket pocket...
She'll look for it everywhere... In the sweet, yet dry taste of the red wine...in the murderous breaths of menthol cigarettes... But these treasures are temporary...only supplying the pleasures that she longs for so desperately until the glass is empty...the cigarette burnt out...
They judge her without thinking.... Telling her she should've done this, has to do that....it's sickening!
Even behind her back she gets discussed... Maybe it's the meds, maybe the "one too many".... But somewhere they believe that they know the reasons behind it all.
If only they really knew...
No-one cares about what's going through her mind, her being. And she won't allow them to know either. Why should she? Let them think what they want. See if she cares.
Her caring doesn't mean anything anyway. It's never enough. Never perfect.
