Why do government officials have to strike? Why do they have to go to these extremes? It is shocking to say the least. Teachers and nurses are not known to strike. And many South Africans are angry about this. But why should these people who are professionals struggle to survive?
We leave our children in the hands of these people for how many hours every day, but they are not getting a very good deal. I believe better salaries will lure better teachers and nurses to those professions, and then many of the current problems will disappear. So paying the teachers for example a good salary is important for the future of the youth of South Africa. Isn't this important then? Or are the children unimportant to us?
