Who will teach today’s children of love and compassion, who will give them guidance towards moral well being?? If not the parents of today who then? But we live in a South Africa that has a moral rot there is no values installed in the baby boomers of today, what did I say baby boomers? Sorry the majority of parents today are babies themselves. More and more children are born from HIV Positive moms, that them selves has no concept of what the world of a parents entails. Who will teach tomorrows kids that life is sacred and that it is morally wrong to take a life, who would teach them that love is a tool that if used right, can mend most things in life. I fear most for the future of our democracy for we as a nation has no values and the basis of a good democracy is values that allows us to let others be free to have their own lives. If we could somehow find a way to teach today’s kids to love and to care for others and for themselves, if we could make the youth understand that sex is not a toy and that HIV is real, then maybe we could start to salvage what we have left of this nation of ours. Millions of tax rands are spend on HIV, but daily more and more infections take place. The true cure for this epidemic will only come from our homes, we have to teach our kids the things that needs to be thought. If today’s kids can grasp the importance of life then they would teach their offspring of the safe, right way of life and maybe in two or three generations aids would be a far off memory. I think that our government has to revise the way that they run our schools there are no more religion in our schools, I don’t say that Christianity in the schools would solve the problem, no I say that if all religions are allowed to practiced in the schools it would help.
