I am Thys Swart, farmer in the Overberg region near Swellendam. (Western Cape, South Africa). I am the 10th generation of my family in South Africa and also the 5th on the same farm. My forefathers came already 350 years ago from the Netherlands, Germany and France to Southern Africa. I am an Afrikaner, English is NOT my first language but I had to write article’s from time to time for international magazine’s like the Fleckvieh World and e mail news letters, regarding issues on agriculture. Some of them are published here. Our farming weppage`s are kykso.co.za and fleckvieh.co.za
