To my three wonderful daughters, I write to you today to let you know that the three of you have been the greatest joys of my life. When you were growing up I tried to teach you about love. Love of God, the love of family and friends, and above all the healing power of love. Looking at you today I realize that I didn’t do a bad job at all and it feels good to know that I had a lot to do with what you have become.
Today I see three beautiful women that are simple and unaffected and who stand firm on their beliefs.
Each of you has received the best and the worst that life hands out, yet you were not crushed or broken by it. You take the pleasant things in life with gratitude and the unpleasant with a smile. You have become stronger, more understanding and tolerant of people, regardless of their race, colour, creed, religion or opinion.
You are all blessed with keen minds and a wonderful sense of humour
I look at you with great pride and marvel at what you have become.
The miracle of you overwhelms me! All your achievements are like personal victories to me. Although I am the parent you girls have taught me so much. You’ve taught me how to laugh, how to forgive, and how to love unconditionally not expecting anything in return.
I thank you for the grandchildren you have provided me with and even for those that are still to come. They are my unrivalled pride and joy and I live to watch them grow!
