Everyone likes to laugh, at least everyone that is sane likes to laugh. Actually insane people also like to laugh but they don’t always know what they are laughing about
I’m sure that the queen of England and the Pope also laugh, but they just don’t do it in public. Maybe they laugh at one another in private, who knows?
My point is that laughing makes people happy and happy people laugh. Humour and laughter is an absolute necessity in order to survive the pressures of everyday life. If you can laugh at it you can live it! I have heard that laughter releases endorphins that are more potent than equivalent amounts of morphine in the body. Humour adds spice to our lives, it’s like what salt is to a boiled egg.
We all love someone that can make us laugh because laughter is our birthright! If you can’t laugh then smile, it’s the beginning of laughter! If you can’t find someone to make you laugh, get a Boxer dog, they are the clowns of the canine world! Our boxer that died in September always knew when we were down and we could always count on her to cheer us up. She was a great comedian and provided us with endless hours of fun and joy. Having her was like having another human being in a dog’s body. She was sensitive, intelligent and hilarious and she was the best friend I could have ever asked for.
Our boxer brought supreme joy to our lives and our love for her was immense. Alas, as great as that love was, just as great was the grief that we felt at losing her. But you can ask anyone who has had a boxer and they’d also tell you that they would not have it any other way!
Maybe once I’ve found myself after my January vacation I should start looking for a new laughing buddy, what do you think?
