Sometimes it feels as if I’ve reached the end and the applause has stopped. Nothing seems real anymore. Someone or something has pulled the rug out from under me and the floor’s gone and my world went with it! I feel as if I’m in a time warp! When I look in the mirror even the image staring back at me isn’t real. Then suddenly I remember what my Dad always used to say to me when I was upset or unhappy. “Whenever you feel like this perhaps you should stop awhile and wonder about the miracles in your daily life!”
I stop to breathe and I listen to those I have loved and still love, and I realize that if my life is not real then I am not real! My attitude will determine what I experience, I can’t change things as they are here at home but I can make it more cheerful.
My life is indeed a mirror because it’s a reflection of who and what I am, so it has to be real. I’m the only one putting stress on myself I’m running through life so fast that I don’t even remember where I’m going.
I will make time to spend with our children and grandchildren, time to make more happy memories, time for laughter and fun. Time to listen to their stories and their jokes. Time for simple joys! As long as I have something to give I will never give up!
Happiness is having the courage to overcome obstacles and winning.
