Men also have feelings but are too afraid to show them because they might look like wimps or sissies!
The only thing men ever talk about is bikes, cars and tools, they share stories about the good old days when they still had hair, and nod to each other when a cute girl walks past.
They never ask their buddies for sympathy nor do they ever speak about their feelings. I reckon they’re afraid that the other guy’s response would go something like this. “Do you expect me to comfort you? Do you think I should hug you? Perhaps I should call my wife? Why do I suddenly feel like a girl?
I am reminded of this story I once read about a woman’s tears.
There was once a little boy who asked God why women cry so easily, to which God replied ‘when I made woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her sensitivity to love under all circumstances. Patience to change things that are not right, conviction to stand unfalteringly by her man and wisdom to know the difference between right and wrong.
But above all I gave her tears to shed. They are hers to use whenever she needs them. Tears are her secret strength, and they make her more like me.’
If God is not ashamed of crying why should mortal man be?
