Why I included this testimony:
1. She is as loyal as you will get.
2. I saw her change from an insecure person to a rock-steady pastor.
3. She is a great mother.
What I learned from this testimony:
1. Loyalty is better than offers. Obedience is better than offers.
2. Loyalty ultimately shapes your character and changes you into the image of Christ.
3. You will experience tests and trials, it is part of life.
I can only convey what I have experienced in my own personal life. I will share a bit on loyalty towards your spiritual parents.
Loyalty is to show your love, trust to 1 person & that anything that will oppose it, be eliminated.
A commitment to one’s leaders & above all to God.
The more loyal you are to your leader/s, you will bring out the best in them.
Your loyalty is tested under difficult circumstances/situations.
Loyalty is a decision you make, and it will be tested.
Loyalty equals covenants love.
Loyalty towards God & our leader/s will help us grow spiritually. Not only because we bind ourselves on what our focus is on, but because God’s word is a mighty instrument in the hand of the Holy Ghost to change us more on the inside (Heb. 4::12; Ps. 19:8-9)

Testimonies
Module 3a-Pastor Hannes Steyn
Why I included this testimony:
1. He means a lot to me, like a long lost brother. I affectionately call him: ‘pastor, my pastor!’
2. He really believes in families. He is a family man, with family-values.
3. You can be upset, you can get angry, but you have to accept the truth and let it set you free.
What I learned from this testimony:
1. He realized the truth, you have to be a son to become a father. Your purpose in life is to copy yourself in others.
2. You find security and liberty through following the vision of a father.
3. You have to be able to trust a man.
To be a son in the house:
It seems to me that God is serious about families whether it is natural or spiritual.
Malachi 4:6-'And He will turn the hearts of the father's to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.'
Simply biblical:
• Paul (father) and Timothy (son)
• Elijah(father) and Elisha(son)
• Moses(father) and Joshua(son)
When I first experienced the idea of father-and-son ship in a local church, I resisted it because of tradition. I came out of a schooling where your (my) ministry was important and I thought I only needed God to help me fulfill it. It was all about me, I had a selfish attitude. I had the zeal, but no wisdom. I made a lot of mistakes and I got hurt in the process, even being in ministry. I though how can God give me the zeal and in the same time hurt me.
As I grew up in DIFC, I could clearly see the spiritual sons of Pst. Hennie. They were not so much interested in their own callings, but worked on the dream and vision of snr. Pastor.
At first I was upset and resisted the idea to the point where I wanted to leave the church. But only through God's grace showing me the truth, I could accept and start growing from a servant to more of a son in the house.
I realized that I need a spiritual father whom I can trust and who will support me to grow up. I have realized that without discipline I can go nowhere in God's kingdom.
I am here to "carry the wood" so to speak. Working on the vision of my Snr. Pastor. I don't worship him, but I honour him as a father figure. I have the security and liberty to run with the vision of DIFC.
A father should show his children who God is. If I cannot trust a father how can I trust God that I cannot see! I thank God for a Snr. Pastor who wants to be a father for many and showing the baby, and young men - God the father.
